The challenge
To lower operating costs and modernise its energy infrastructure, the centre delivered a future-proof concept — actively involving association members.
How we delivered it
- 01
Consulting & planning
Identifying the economically optimal expansion path. All consumers and producers were mapped; load scenarios were modelled with energybrickbuilder.ai.
- 02
New PV system
A new 25 kWp PV system was installed on the riding facility roof.
- 03
Post-EEG use
The existing 15-year-old PV system was technically upgraded and kept in service for self-consumption.
- 04
Charging infrastructure
Two 11 kW charging points for electric vehicles were installed.
- 05
Association participation
Through profit-sharing rights, association members are invited to participate — the design builds trust and a strong sense of involvement on both sides.
What the project achieves
- Cost reduction: electricity costs fall 70% per year.
- CO₂ reduction: 10 t CO₂e p.a. via PV electricity (27 MWh at 380 g/kWh).
- Extended lifetime of the existing system through post-EEG upgrade.
